Trade unions support workers affected by storms and floods

On the afternoon of November 4, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Vice President Ngo Duy Hieu, along with leaders of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, visited and encouraged union members and workers affected by floods at the 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu and leaders of the Da Nang City Labor Confederation presented 30 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, to union members and employees of the 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company.

During the recent heavy rains, 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company with 697 union members was affected and suffered heavy property damage. The company's union reported and proposed to the Da Nang City Labor Federation for timely support.

At the visit and gift giving ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor sympathizes with business owners and workers after the great damage and loss in the recent floods.

"The Trade Union organizations at all levels of Da Nang city have quickly stepped in to grasp and promptly provide spiritual and material encouragement to help workers overcome difficulties and losses, and soon return to work and daily life," said the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented support to union members and workers in Da Nang City who suffered damage due to floods with a total amount of 1 billion VND.

In order to promptly share the difficulties of union members and workers affected by storms and floods, recently, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has directly gone to the flood center to support and encourage workers to overcome difficulties and improve their lives.

Previously, the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited and presented financial support to union members and workers in Bac Ninh province who were severely affected by storms and floods in 2025.

Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu suggested that local unions should immediately have timely support plans for union members and workers affected by storms and floods; at the same time, pay attention to disease prevention after floods to ensure health and stabilize people's lives.
