Agribank promptly supports customers in Hue city affected by floods

On November 5, a working delegation of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank), led by Agribank General Director Pham Toan Vuong, visited, encouraged and supported customers in Hue city who suffered heavy losses due to the recent exceptionally large floods.

The General Director of Agribank visited the leaders and workers of Hello International Vietnam Joint Stock Company in An Hoa Industrial Cluster, Huong An Ward, Hue City, which suffered heavy damage due to flooding; at the same time, he encouraged and believed that the enterprise would soon overcome difficulties, stabilize and restore production and business activities. The General Director of Agribank presented gifts and VND 50 million in cash to support the enterprise, demonstrating Agribank's timely concern and sharing with customers facing difficulties due to natural disasters.

Hello International Vietnam Joint Stock Company suffered heavy damage after two particularly large floods in the last days of October. As of November 5, the company's internal roads were still flooded from 0.3 to 0.5 meters. The particularly large flood flooded the company's warehouse, causing damage to many goods and machinery with a total value of about 12 billion VND. Mr. Nguyen Viet Tung, Chief Accountant of Hello International Vietnam Joint Stock Company, said that although the company's warehouse was built on the highest ground in the area, the flood was so large and the water rose quickly, flooding the warehouse of goods and machinery, causing heavy damage. The company received timely support and sharing from Agribank right after the flood, creating more motivation to quickly restore production.

Director of Agribank Hue City Branch Nguyen Hai Quan said that according to initial statistics, the city has over 13,000 Agribank customers affected by major floods with a total outstanding debt of nearly VND5,300 billion, of which the affected outstanding debt is over VND1,169 billion.
Agribank supports 2 billion VND for customers affected by recent floods, to soon stabilize their lives and restore production and business.

On this occasion, Agribank General Director Pham Toan Vuong praised Agribank Hue branch for promptly and proactively responding to the exceptionally large flood, ensuring the safety of assets and people and maintaining customer service activities immediately after the flood; at the same time, he requested units to continue to review and summarize damages, promptly report and propose support plans, coordinate with localities to grasp the damage situation of customers and partners of the branch; guide customers to buy insurance to partly reduce damages, help customers feel secure and stabilize production and business.
