Petrovietnam timely supports Central provinces affected by natural disasters

In early November 2025, when the rain in the Central region had just stopped and the flood waters had just receded, relief trucks filled with the love of Petrovietnam workers immediately started rolling. Dozens of tons of rice, thousands of barrels of water, thousands of gifts were delivered to people at a time when they needed them most - the flood had just receded.

Members of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association joined hands to transport each item of essential goods to quickly send to the people of Central Vietnam.

At this time, people have just escaped isolation and are in dire need of clean water, food, and solidarity after months of fighting natural disasters.

Behind the trips that started in the rain and floods is a touching story about the spirit of mutual love and solidarity in times of trouble. On Saturday, November 1, 2025, all Petrovietnam employees volunteered to work extra on their day off to raise funds to support those in difficult circumstances and those affected by natural disasters and floods.

In the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Da Nang , through the local Fatherland Front agencies, Petrovietnam donated 8 billion VND, 10 tons of rice and 2,000 barrels of bottled clean water produced by PVOil, a member unit of Petrovietnam, to the people of the two provinces and cities (Da Nang received 5 billion VND, 5 tons of rice and 1,000 barrels of water; Quang Ngai received 3 billion VND, 5 tons of rice and 1,000 barrels of water).

In the next few days, Petrovietnam will continue to support the people of the two provinces, Hue and Quang Tri cities, which are also localities that suffered heavy damage due to the floods (Petrovietnam supports Hue with 5 billion VND and 5 tons of rice, 1,000 cartons of bottled water; supports Quang Tri with 3 billion VND, 5 tons of rice and 1,000 cartons of bottled water).

The timely support activities worth nearly 20 billion VND in recent days for people in the Central provinces affected by floods demonstrate the spirit of "going early, arriving on time", in line with the cultural value of "full of affection" of Petrovietnam workers, demonstrating Petrovietnam's responsibility to society and the community, especially in times of difficulty, natural disasters, storms and floods.

Petrovietnam delegation presented gifts to people in Tu Cau block, Dien Ban Dong ward, Da Nang.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group Tran Quang Dung emphasized: “In all circumstances, Petrovietnam always strives to fulfill its production and business tasks well, while paying practical attention to the community. We consider supporting and sharing with people in disaster-stricken areas as a responsibility and also the sentiment of the Petrovietnam collective towards the country. The support for the Central provinces affected by natural disasters was implemented immediately to promptly share difficulties and support local people to quickly stabilize their lives.”

In addition, a series of member units and Petrovietnam employees in the Central region such as BSR, PVOil... have spread out to localities, communes and villages affected by floods to share food, supplies, drinking water and funds to directly support people to overcome some of the difficulties caused by the floods.

From urgent action to lasting humanitarian commitment

For many years, Petrovietnam and its member units and employees have always accompanied the people of the whole country in social security activities, especially in support when natural disasters and epidemics occur such as relief during storms, responding to the Covid-19 epidemic, building schools, medical stations, supporting Tet for the poor... with a total amount of money in the past 5 years reaching more than 5,000 billion VND.

On the evening of November 3, at the Closing Ceremony of the First Autumn Fair, Petrovietnam and its member units and employees throughout the group affirmed to set aside 100 billion VND to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods occurring in 2025, of which 70 billion VND has been deployed to support localities that have suffered damage and serious impacts due to natural disasters in recent months, such as storm No. 10 in the North Central provinces, or storm No. 11 in the Northern mountainous provinces.

At the closing ceremony of the first Autumn Fair - 2025, Petrovietnam donated 100 billion VND to flood victims.

Also on the evening of November 3, in the program "Joining hands for the poor and social security in 2025" organized by the People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city in Hanoi, Petrovietnam donated 10 billion VND to the government and people of the capital so that the government and people of Hanoi have more resources to care for the poor, so that no one is left behind.

In 2025 alone, Petrovietnam will spend nearly 1,000 billion VND to support social security programs nationwide such as education, healthcare, solidarity houses, houses for the poor, prevention, control and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, for the poor nationwide.

During each natural disaster, when mud still remains on the roads, when floodwaters have not yet receded, the images of uniforms bearing the Petrovietnam logo, trucks carrying essential goods appear on the roads, in flooded houses, in the middle of destroyed schoolyards... like a flame of responsibility and compassion.

Petrovietnam's actions are a clear demonstration of spreading the spirit of national solidarity, affirming the social responsibility of a national enterprise, a national enterprise that knows how to act for the people, for life, for the sustainable future of the country.
