
On November 6, despite the light rain, hundreds of workers and many vehicles still worked continuously to handle landslides and traffic jams stretching from the old A Luoi district to the Km396+050 overpass area bordering the old Quang Nam province.
At Km381+360, the slope was severely eroded with a large amount of soil and trees covering the road surface. At around 10:30 am the same day, the blockage was cleared. Previously, the authorities had also urgently opened one lane at this location on November 1 and 3 after many times of slope erosion. Similarly, at Km382+600, one lane was opened to traffic on the afternoon of November 6.
According to Road Management Area II, Vietnam Road Administration, due to the impact of storm No. 12 (October 22-24) and heavy rains after the storm from October 26 until now, the West branch of Ho Chi Minh Road in Hue city has suffered a lot of damage such as soil and rocks filling the sewers, overflowing the road surface; potholes and damage to the road surface; damaged sidewalks, sewers, guardrails...

Many sections of road in A Luoi 1, A Luoi 2 and A Luoi 3 communes were flooded from 0.25 to 0.3m deep. In addition, the road had hundreds of landslides on the positive slope and many sections on the negative slope collapsed; in which, Km366+150 and Km381+360 were the locations with the most landslides causing traffic jams, occurring from October 28 until now.
