Focus on connecting labor supply and demand
Currently, there are more than 25,000 enterprises and cooperatives operating in the province, employing nearly 800,000 workers. Of these, nearly 560,000 are working in industrial parks. In fact, the demand for labor recruitment, especially technical and skilled labor, is increasing. Meanwhile, the labor supply in the locality and neighboring areas is quite abundant but not really suitable in terms of skills, expertise and style. The gap between supply and demand poses an urgent need to increase the dissemination and transparency of labor market information.

Identifying this, the Department of Home Affairs together with relevant sectors and localities have synchronously deployed many measures. In particular, focusing on building a modern and diverse labor market information system, from electronic information portals, job bulletins, direct and online trading floors, to grassroots communication systems. Bac Ninh Employment Service Center No. 1 and Bac Ninh Employment Service Center No. 2 are two core units that regularly update, synthesize and publish information on the labor market; innovate and diversify forms of job transactions, facilitating the connection between supply and demand. As a result, in the first 10 months of this year, the two centers organized 93 job transactions (periodic, online, mobile, thematic). At these transactions, more than 3,900 businesses registered for recruitment; attracting nearly 68,300 people to come for policy advice and job referrals. As a result, about 8,000 people were recruited directly; the rest were registered for suitable job positions and scheduled for interviews.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Head of the Department of Labor - Employment (Department of Home Affairs) said: To increase the efficiency of connecting labor supply and demand, the staff office with the Department directed job service centers to promote the application of digital technology in disseminating labor market information. Prioritizing the organization of online job transactions helps to expand the scope of access, save costs and time. Workers only need a smartphone to look up recruitment information, register for jobs and participate in online interviews. This is an important step, keeping up with the trend of digital transformation in human resource management.
Towards a flexible and sustainable labor market
According to the report of the Department of Home Affairs, in the first 10 months of this year, the whole province created jobs for more than 46,800 people, including nearly 3,000 workers working abroad under contracts. This result plays an important role in effectively implementing solutions to enhance the dissemination of labor market information. Workers have timely and complete access to information on recruitment needs, salaries, and policies of employers, thereby proactively improving their skills and choosing suitable jobs. Meanwhile, businesses can easily find the right human resources, saving recruitment costs.

In practice, many large enterprises in the fields of electronics, textiles, etc., when investing in Bac Ninh and in the process of expanding production scale, have quickly recruited enough workers thanks to the support of the trading floor system and participating in job fairs. Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang, in charge of administration and human resources of BOI Vietnam Limited Liability Company, Viet Han Industrial Park (specializing in the production of electronic components and medical equipment), said: The company has been in production since 2019, currently creating jobs for about 600 workers. To reach the full scale of the factory, the enterprise needs to recruit about 300 workers. In addition to the internal communication policy, the board of directors actively coordinates with the Bac Ninh Employment Service Center No. 1 in determining the human resource supply, well meeting production needs.
Strengthening the dissemination of labor market information is not only a state management task, but also a practical solution to help balance supply and demand, solve employment problems and improve the lives of workers. For Bac Ninh province, this is also an important factor to meet the human resource needs of businesses, helping to attract investment.
To build a sustainable labor market, the Department of Home Affairs will continue to advise on solutions and proactively coordinate with relevant sectors to modernize the labor market information system and expand the connection between supply and demand nationwide. Support businesses with labor recruitment needs to connect with reputable and quality employment service units, promptly responding to the human resource needs of businesses.
