Sir, what stage is the exhibition preparation at now?
- Up to this point, the Ministries, sectors and localities have basically arranged and installed exhibition spaces according to each display theme. The construction units are actively and urgently completing the art, lighting, interactive screen systems and auxiliary items. Although the preparation time is quite urgent, all forces are working with a very high sense of responsibility. I believe that the exhibition will open on schedule, ensuring both artistic and scientific quality.
With such a big event, what is the biggest difficulty in implementation that the Organizing Committee encountered?
- First of all, this is an exhibition of unprecedented scale, covering all the achievements of the country's 80 years of construction and development. The biggest challenge is the huge amount of documents and artifacts, spanning 8 decades. We have to select them to ensure both comprehensiveness and clear highlights for the public to easily accept. Second is the requirement to beautify the documents, how to recreate history through technology and art in a vivid and attractive way, so that when entering the exhibition space, viewers not only "see" but also "feel".
Third is coordination. We have to work with departments, ministries, branches, and localities, each with different ways of storing documents and displaying them. Unifying the content and display format requires a lot of time, patience, and close coordination.
In addition, the venue is a project with a scale that is among the top in the world, so the introduction of machinery and equipment into construction must comply with strict technical requirements. Some items are prepared outside, and will not be assembled until August 15. However, so far, the exhibition booths have basically been completed in time for the preliminary review on August 20, the final review on August 26 and the opening on August 28.
During the implementation process, how did the Organizing Committee receive attention and direction from leaders at all levels?
- We are very honored and feel greatly motivated when every week, at the Government's briefings, the Prime Minister always requests a report on the progress of the Exhibition implementation. The Deputy Prime Ministers, especially Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, directly inspect the daily progress, urge, remove obstacles and encourage the spirit of the units.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, headed by Minister Nguyen Van Hung, has always closely directed and identified this as an important political task of the industry in 2025. Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong has always been with us and was almost on duty at the National Exhibition Center throughout the construction process. Every day, the Department's staff and functional units work continuously from morning to 9-10 pm, promptly grasping difficulties and advising on solutions.
What do the organizers expect from the public's response after the Exhibition opens?
- We hope that when entering the exhibition space, every citizen, especially the young, will feel national pride and a sense of responsibility to the Fatherland. The exhibition is not only to "watch" but also to "live with history", to understand that over the past 80 years, our nation has gone through many hardships but also full of glory.
We also hope that this event will become a forum for meeting and exchanging between managers, researchers, and artists, thereby finding new ideas in preserving and promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam.
Thank you sir !
