On the morning of October 18, the Dak Lak Provincial Women's Union organized a series of activities to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024) and to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province (November 22, 1904 - November 22, 2024).

Speaking at the program, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu emphasized that Vietnamese women in general and Dak Lak women in particular have a tradition of patriotism and revolution. Throughout history, women of all ethnic groups in the province have stood shoulder to shoulder, joined hands, and upheld the qualities of "Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and courageous", achieved many glorious feats, contributed greatly to the cause of national liberation and unification, and written a glorious and heroic history page of the brave and resilient Central Highlands.
Inheriting the glorious tradition of ethnic women in the province, through the process of construction and development, the Dak Lak Provincial Women's Union has continuously grown and matured, performing well the functions of representing, uniting, gathering, motivating and encouraging women to promote the traditions and good qualities of generations of women, to be dynamic, creative, confident, striving to contribute in many fields, contributing worthily to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The delegates held discussions, exchanges, and meetings with outstanding women in various fields, thereby promptly listening to the sharing and discussion on issues such as: The role and contributions of Vietnamese women in general, Dak Lak women in particular from a historical perspective; Behavioral culture of modern women and issues raised; Promoting gender equality and women's right to participate in politics... Thereby, helping women's union members accumulate more good experiences, creative ways of doing things, propose solutions to solve difficulties and problems, contributing to building the work of the Union and the women's movement in the province to develop and become stronger.

The program also honored, commended, and rewarded 40 outstanding women who excelled in training, studying, and following Uncle Ho's example, with a long history of dedication, labor, and research in the fields of cultural preservation and transmission, production, and good business. They are "disabled but not useless" examples that inspire and spread widely in all areas of life and society.
In addition, the Provincial Women's Union also awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 groups and 9 individuals who had outstanding achievements in the special emulation campaign "120 projects/tasks/activities accompanying poor women and children in difficult circumstances".

Accordingly, the emulation campaign was launched by the Provincial Women's Union in February 2024. After more than 7 months of implementation, the Union at all levels has carried out 142 projects/activities/tasks to support and help disadvantaged women in the locality with a total value of over 13.7 billion VND, reaching 118% of the set plan. The Union at all levels has awarded 148 livelihood models to women in difficult circumstances; awarded start-up capital to 270 women; awarded 16 "Shelters of Love" and "Shelters of Comrades" to 16 poor members; awarded 45 health insurance cards to disadvantaged members; mobilized "Godmothers" to raise 145 orphans in the area; awarded 5 savings books to women in especially difficult circumstances; coordinated to open 21 vocational training classes with 790 rural women; Constructing 23 green projects, planting flowers, flower roads, flag roads, rural road lighting projects, "Renovating and restoring the water wharf"...

With 142 projects/activities/tasks implemented in localities, the unit has supported and helped over 4,800 poor women and children in difficult circumstances in the province to access knowledge, support livelihoods, create jobs, increase income, stabilize family life, and actively contribute to the new rural construction movement in the locality...
