On the morning of April 26, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Provincial Veterans Association held a meeting to express gratitude to the veterans who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

In the great Dien Bien Phu Campaign of the nation, Vinh Phuc province had 1,109 war veterans participating, currently 509 war veterans are still alive; 859 youth volunteers and frontline laborers participated, currently 344 are still alive.
At the meeting, delegates had the opportunity to review the revolutionary tradition and the heroic years of the people of the whole country, all looking towards Dien Bien Phu.
In recent times, to show gratitude for the great contributions of generations of fathers and grandfathers in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign as well as in the cause of national liberation, the Party Committee, government and people in the province have always paid attention to and taken care of policy work, gratitude, promoting the tradition of remembering the source of drinking water; visiting, giving gifts, helping families of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution, and policy families in the province.

Today, the war veterans who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in the past have become shining examples for the younger generation in terms of patriotism, fighting spirit, and sacrifice for the cause of national independence and freedom.
