GELEX and FPT cooperate to promote comprehensive digital transformation

On June 11, GELEX Group and FPT Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation to promote comprehensive digital transformation, enhance the business efficiency of both parties, thereby actively contributing to promoting the country's economic development.

Specifically, GELEX and FPT are expected to cooperate in 4 areas, including: Comprehensive digital transformation activities from the group level to GELEX's member companies; deploying telecommunications infrastructure for GELEX's real estate projects (residential, office, industrial parks); investment cooperation to deploy Data Center projects; cooperation in the semiconductor sector: Building facilities to serve research and development work and consortium inviting big names to Vietnam to research and develop this field. This cooperation helps both sides maximize their potential, support each other to develop more strongly in the Vietnamese and international markets, open up new opportunities for potential fields and attract investment cooperation from global partners. Mr. Nguyen Trong Hien affirmed that in 2023, the strategy of developing a partnership ecosystem with leading multinational corporations (domestic and foreign) has initially brought many positive values, such as cooperation with Frasers Property and Sembcorp Industries. GELEX will continue to promote this strategy in 2024 and the following years to bring the Group into global value chains, expand and upgrade product segments with higher added value for core areas, boost exports and aim to become the leading investment group in Vietnam. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Corporation, the Group turns 36 years old, operating in three fields: Technology, telecommunications,education . After the first 3 months of 2024, FPT has an estimated revenue of VND 14,093 billion and pre-tax profit of VND 2,534 billion, up 20.6% and 19.5% respectively over the same period in 2023. Up to now, the Group has 76,000 employees working in 30 countries. Over the past 5 years, FPT has achieved a double-digit sustainable growth target.
