Robusta Coffee Price London May 23, 2025

On the London floor, at 4:30 a.m. on May 23, 2025, at the end of the trading session, Robusta coffee prices suddenly dropped sharply again, down from 95 - 133 USD/ton compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 4,691 - 4,919 USD/ton. Specifically, the delivery price for July 2025 is 4,779 USD/ton; the delivery price for September 2025 is 4,765 USD/ton; the delivery price for November 2025 is 4,739 USD/ton and the delivery price for January 2026 is 4,690 USD/ton.

Arabica coffee price on New York floor on May 23, 2025

Similarly, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor in the early morning of May 23 also fluctuated sharply, down from 7.55 - 9.30 cents/lb compared to the previous trading session, fluctuating from 347.20 - 361.00 cents/lb. Specifically, the delivery period for July 2025 is 361.00 cents/lb; the delivery period for September 2025 is 358.65 cents/lb; the delivery period for December 2025 is 354.20 cents/lb and the delivery period for March 2026 is 349.10 cents/lb.

Brazilian Arabica coffee price on May 23, 2025

Recorded as follows: May 2025 delivery period is 457.25 USD/ton; July 2025 delivery period is 459.00 USD/ton; September 2025 delivery period is 447.80 and December 2025 delivery period is 430.60 USD/ton.

Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day) Vietnam time. Arabica coffee traded on the ICE Futures US (New York exchange) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day) Vietnam time. For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, it will open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day) Vietnam time.

According to information from Giacaphe.com, updated at 4:30 a.m. today, May 23, 2025, coffee prices in the Central Highlands provinces tend to increase again, but the increase is slight, from 100 - 200 VND/kg. Currently, the average coffee purchase price in key areas is at 125,200 VND/kg.

Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is 125,200 VND/kg, coffee price in Lam Dong is 124,700 VND/kg, coffee price in Gia Lai is 125,000 VND/kg and coffee price in Dak Nong today is 125,300 VND/kg.

According to experts, the current decline in the coffee market stems from a combination of many unfavorable factors. After a series of strong increases at the beginning of the month, investors took advantage of the opportunity to take profits, contributing to pressure on prices.

Meanwhile, favorable weather conditions in key coffee-producing country Brazil are reinforcing expectations of abundant supplies, especially as the Robusta harvest season in Brazil has officially begun.

In addition, the recovery of the USD/Brazilian Real exchange rate has made Brazilian coffee prices more competitive in the international market. This has encouraged farmers in this country to increase sales, increasing downward pressure on prices on the trading floors.

Meanwhile, although investment funds still maintain a large net buying position, the trading volume is showing signs of shrinking. This move reflects a gradual return of caution, especially in the context of the approaching Brazilian winter, a time often accompanied by unpredictable weather fluctuations.

Regarding the domestic market, according to statistics, compared to a month ago (April 15), domestic coffee prices decreased by about 3,200 VND/kg; in the international market, coffee prices have had mixed developments, creating a cautious sentiment for investors.

According to data from the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), in just the first 15 days of May, Vietnamese businesses exported nearly 63,000 tons of Robusta coffee, earning about 345 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, this was an increase of 83% in output and 155% in value.
