Rubber price today June 13: Continuing to decline sharply on the floor...

Rubber demand is weak and inventories are high in most consuming countries. Car sales are also struggling, and all of these factors could affect rubber, the main raw material for the tire industry.

World rubber price

At the end of the trading session on June 12, the price of rubber futures for June delivery on the OSE in Japan fell another 2.5% (7.6 yen) to 294.4 yen/kg. In China, the price of rubber futures for July delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) fell 0.4% (60 yuan) to 13,750 yuan/ton. In Thailand, the price of rubber futures for June delivery fell 0.2% (0.13 baht) to 72.44 baht/kg.

Similarly, the rubber contract for November delivery on the Osaka Exchange (OSE) fell 2.71% to 290.9 yen/kg.

The rubber contract for September delivery on the Shanghai Commodity Exchange (SHFE) fell 1.81% to 13,585 yuan a tonne. The most-active butadiene rubber contract for July delivery on the SHFE also fell 1.12% to 11,035 yuan a tonne.

In Thailand, prices of export grade smoked sheet rubber (RSS3) and block rubber both decreased by 0.22% and 0.63%, respectively, to 76.88 baht and 61.8 baht/kg.

Japan's Nikkei futures fell 0.7% to close at 38,173.09. A government survey showed Japan's business confidence fell in the second quarter for the first time in five quarters, amid concerns that US tariffs will hurt the export-oriented economy .

Auto and parts makers forecast profits to fall 19.8% in fiscal 2025, according to the survey.

Oil prices also fell during the session, reversing earlier gains in Asian trading, as the market assessed a US decision to move personnel out of the Middle East ahead of talks with Iran over its nuclear program.

Natural rubber often fluctuates with oil prices, due to competition with synthetic rubber – which is produced from crude oil.

The low production season for rubber trees typically lasts from February to May, before entering the peak harvest period from June to September.

On the Singapore Exchange (SICOM), the rubber contract for July delivery last traded at 160.4 US cents/kg, down 1.9%.

Domestic rubber price

Specifically, at Ba Ria Rubber Company, the purchase price of liquid latex is 405 VND/TSC degree/kg (applied to TSC degree from 25 to under 30); DRC coagulated latex (35 - 44%) is 13,500 VND/kg; raw latex remains unchanged at 17,200 - 18,500 VND/kg.

Phu Rieng Company also announced that the purchase price of mixed latex is stable at 390 VND/DRC, and the purchase price of liquid latex is at 425 VND/TSC.

MangYang Company also keeps the purchase price of latex at around 397 - 401 VND/TSC (type 2-type 1), and mixed latex at around 359 - 409 VND/DRC (type 2-type 1).
