On June 19, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee sent a document to the heads of departments, branches and sectors on developing a plan to reduce and simplify administrative procedures in 2025.
In order to implement the Government's resolution on the program of cutting and simplifying administrative procedures related to production and business in 2025 and 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued a list of administrative procedures to be cut and simplified (phase 1) for 298 administrative procedures.
In the 298 procedures, including those of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Education and Training, Department of Food Safety, Department of Justice, Department of Industry and Trade and the Management Board of Industrial and Export Processing Zones, the implementation time of these procedures has been significantly reduced.

To promptly implement, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned agencies and units with procedures to be cut and simplified to promptly submit to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval of plans to cut and simplify administrative procedures, no later than June 30.
At the same time, continue to review and propose the second round of administrative procedure reduction and simplification, and send it to the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for synthesis, no later than July 5.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also assigned the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to appraise and submit to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval the plan to simplify administrative procedures. At the same time, monitor, urge and guide agencies and units to implement the reduction and simplification of administrative procedures.
