Received 621 grassroots unions under the Provincial Labor Federation

Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to Dam Rong District Labor Federation

Mr. Hoang Lien - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) said that by May 31, 2025, the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor manages 12 direct superior unions and 05 grassroots unions directly under the Provincial Federation of Labor. The whole province has 1,467 grassroots unions with 69,933 union members, including 1,038 grassroots unions of administrative agencies and public service units with 38,580 union members; 429 grassroots unions of enterprises with 31,353 union members. The employment situation and income of workers are basically stable, with an average salary of about 8.15 million VND/person/month.

Sticking to the theme of 2025 "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", trade unions at all levels have actively carried out their tasks, stayed close to the grassroots, and protected workers in all fields.

Trade unions have participated in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, building harmonious labor relations in agencies and enterprises. The signing of collective labor agreements (CLAs) continues to receive attention, the contents of CLAs have many provisions more favorable to workers than those prescribed by law, such as: working hours, rest hours; wages, bonuses; implementing female labor policies; ensuring shift meals for workers with a minimum of VND 18,000.

Caring for union members and workers is always a focus of trade unions at all levels. In the first 6 months of the year, over 40,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, having work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses... were visited, encouraged and given gifts by trade unions at all levels with a total amount of over 19 billion VND.

Emulation campaigns such as Lunar New Year, "Workers' Month"... are all organized by trade unions enthusiastically and enthusiastically with many benefits for workers. Propaganda and mobilization work for workers to compete in work and complete assigned tasks has become a regular and continuous task. Trade unions at all levels continue to focus on discovering and introducing outstanding union members for the Party to train and consider admission. Since the beginning of the year, trade unions have introduced 226 outstanding union members for the Party to consider and train, with 124 outstanding union members admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam .

Evaluating the activities of the Trade Union in the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor found that the propaganda and mobilization work for workers in non-state enterprises and enterprises without trade unions still faced many difficulties and was not regular. The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions and trade unions still faced many difficulties, with the achievement rate being low compared to the progress of the assigned targets.

Trade union activities in some non-state sector trade unions are still vague, the role of representing and protecting union members and workers is not focused on, and the legitimate rights and interests of workers in some places are still violated. The rate of type D collective labor agreements is still higher than the general level according to the assessment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The rate of units and enterprises paying union fees through Vietnam Trade Union accounts is still low.

Union officials shared a lot of information about the operations of grassroots unions, the difficulties of union work in the changing period as well as the thoughts of union workers in the current period.

The Provincial Federation of Labor also launched the emulation movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" and "Digital education for the masses" in all levels of Lam Dong provincial unions. This is an important emulation movement, contributing to the strong digitalization of the union movement, integrating into the digital flow of the whole society and the country.

The Labor Federations of districts and cities signed the Decision to transfer the grassroots Trade Unions to the Provincial Labor Federation.

In particular, the Conference announced the Decision to end the activities of the District and equivalent Labor Federations. Accordingly, 10 District and City Labor Federations and 2 Trade Unions of the official bloc have completed their tasks and stopped operating. The Provincial Labor Federation also received 621 grassroots trade unions with 35,460 union members to be directly under the Provincial Labor Federation. These are non-state enterprise trade unions, which do not use 100% of the State budget.

At the same time, at the Conference, 18 union officials were awarded the Medal "For the cause of building and developing Lam Dong province"; 76 people received the Medal "For the cause of building the union organization". The Dam Rong District Labor Federation was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for its outstanding achievements.
