Over the past hundred years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always been a pioneering force on the ideological and cultural front, a bridge between the Party and the people, a strong voice of justice and reason, and an indispensable companion in the cause of national liberation, national construction and defense.

Since its inception, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has carried a special mission: not only to reflect reality, but also to encourage revolutionary action, propagate patriotic ideals, arouse national spirit and inspire the struggle for independence and freedom.
During the two resistance wars against colonialism and imperialism, the press was not only a means of information, but also a sharp weapon, contributing to fostering the fighting spirit and belief in certain victory for the entire nation.
After the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the press continued to play an important role in healing the wounds of war, restoring and developing the country. In particular, since the implementation of the renovation policy in 1986, the press has become a vanguard force in propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, reflecting the breath of life, accompanying the development of all sectors, all localities, and all classes of people.
Nowadays, the strong development of technology, social networks and global media has posed an urgent need for digital transformation, improving the quality and reputation of journalism.
In a multi-dimensional media environment, the press not only competes in terms of speed of reporting, but also must ensure accuracy, objectivity, orientation and humanity - things that no other form of media can replace.
Faced with the challenges of the new era - from fake news, toxic news, to competition for market share in unofficial information - the Vietnamese revolutionary press must maintain its role as "information gatekeeper", constantly innovate its organizational model, improve the qualifications of its staff, and promote technological strengths to spread the values of truth, goodness, and beauty.
The press must be a reliable information channel, a sharp social critic, and a driving force for innovation in all areas of social life. That is the requirement, the expectation, and the noble political mission entrusted by the Party, the State, and the people.

The 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press is an opportunity to pay tribute to generations of journalists who have devoted their intelligence and passion to protecting the truth, affirming justice and contributing to changing society in a progressive direction.
It is also a moment for revolutionary press to look back at itself, enlightened by the legacy of President Ho Chi Minh 's journalistic ideology, to continue to be steadfast in its core values: serving the Fatherland, serving the people, being loyal to revolutionary ideals, and being a pioneer in innovation and integration.
One hundred years - a glorious journey. But the road ahead has many more stringent requirements: developing professional - humane - modern journalism; building a streamlined, strong, and effective press agency; training a team of journalists who are "both red and professional"; and affirming the role of leading public opinion in the digital age.
With all our faith, we expect that: Vietnamese revolutionary press - with its steadfast political will, pure professional ethics, and constantly innovative thinking - will continue to be the core force on the ideological front, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of our country, realizing the aspiration of great power in the 21st century.
