On her personal page, singer Bao Yen - musician Quoc Dung's wife - announced that her husband breathed his last on the morning of September 24 due to a stroke. He was 72 years old.

Musician Quoc Dung passed away at the age of 72.

His funeral will be held at his home on Ngo Thoi Nhiem Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. At noon on September 25, the family will say goodbye and take the musician's coffin to be cremated at Binh Hung Hoa.

The musician's full name is Nguyen Quoc Dung, born in 1951 in Thailand. In 1954, when Quoc Dung was 3 years old, his family returned to Vietnam.

At the age of 10, Quoc Dung entered the Saigon National Conservatory of Music, and at the age of 16 he graduated as valedictorian in Western music.

After passing the Baccalaureate 2, Quoc Dung entered Van Hanh University.

From the moment they met, Bao Yen knew that musician Quoc Dung would be her husband. While he was sitting in the recording studio, separated by a glass, Bao Yen looked in and said to her sister Nha Phuong, "That is my future husband."

Bao Yen confided that even though her husband admitted to her that the relationship was innocent, he still wrote the song to dedicate to the person who once made him emotional.

According to singer Bao Yen in the program "Listen to Me Sing" in 2018, her husband's ex-lover once came to her house to confide in her. "After only 2-3 years of marriage, his first lover came to confide in me that Mr. Dung made her suffer so much," the singer said.
