On her personal page, singer Bao Yen - musician Quoc Dung's wife - announced that her husband breathed his last on the morning of September 24 due to a stroke. He was 72 years old.
Musician Quoc Dung passed away at the age of 72.
His funeral will be held at his home on Ngo Thoi Nhiem Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. At noon on September 25, the family will say goodbye and take the musician's coffin to be cremated at Binh Hung Hoa.

The musician's full name is Nguyen Quoc Dung, born in 1951 in Thailand. In 1954, when Quoc Dung was 3 years old, his family returned to Vietnam.
At the age of 10, Quoc Dung entered the Saigon National Conservatory of Music, and at the age of 16 he graduated as valedictorian in Western music.
After passing the Baccalaureate 2, Quoc Dung entered Van Hanh University.
