According to information from the People's Committee of Ben Tre province, the locality is actively implementing measures to promote the progress of relocating livestock facilities according to Resolution No. 30 dated December 9, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council. This Resolution stipulates areas where livestock farming is prohibited and provides policies to support the relocation of livestock facilities from areas where they are not allowed to operate, according to a source from the Vietnam Livestock Magazine.
Mr. Vo Van Ngoan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ben Tre province, said that the province currently has 8,510 livestock farms that must be relocated according to Resolution No. 30. Of these, 2,309 farms located in residential areas, near public works such as medical stations, schools, headquarters, cultural houses or causing environmental pollution, are classified in the priority group to receive relocation support.
Districts and cities in the province have stepped up propaganda work through many channels such as organizing training conferences, broadcasting announcements through loudspeaker systems and coordinating with mass organizations to convey information to residential groups.
