Gia Lai: In the first 6 months of the year, electricity production is estimated to reach nearly 4.5 billion kWh.

(GLO)- According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Gia Lai, in the first 6 months of 2025, the estimated electricity production output reached nearly 4.5 billion kWh (reaching 38.23% of the plan, up 10.62% over the same period).

Since the beginning of the year, electricity production and supply have been continuously ensured, meeting the daily needs of the people and serving the socio-economic development of the province. The electricity output supplied to the province's load demand is estimated at about 4.3 billion kWh.

Up to now, the province has invested in building and putting into operation 3,250.69 MW of renewable energy types. Of which, hydropower is 2,251.69 MW, solar power is 61 MW, wind power is 808.4 MW, biomass power is 129.6 MW. In addition, there are 3,248 rooftop solar power systems in the province with a total capacity of more than 603 MWp. The transmission grid system ensures high transmission capacity between the province's grid and neighboring provinces and the national power system, while ensuring the ability to release capacity of renewable energy projects in the province.
