Gia Lai: 985 delegates attended the conference of reporters

(GLO)- On the morning of June 6, in Hanoi, comrade Pham Tat Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission chaired the Central reporters' conference for June 2025.

The conference was organized in the form of direct online connection to 1,703 locations nationwide with more than 60,000 delegates attending.

In Gia Lai, the conference connected to 20 points with 985 delegates attending. Comrade Pham Thi To Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department chaired the conference at the main point of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee headquarters. Attending the conference at the main point of the province were comrades of the Provincial Party Committee's XVI term (currently working at provincial departments and branches); representative leaders: Provincial Party Committee; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of Health; Provincial Journalists Association; Party and political work departments of the following units: Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command; leaders in charge of propaganda work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.

At the conference, delegates listened to the Chief of the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389, Le Thanh Hai, provide information on the topic "Current anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in our country; solutions in the coming time". From 2015 to May 2025, functional forces, units and localities detected, arrested and handled over 236,000 cases of smuggling and transporting prohibited goods; over 1.3 million cases of trade fraud and over 82,000 cases of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods. Criminal prosecution of 16,776 cases with 22,208 subjects; collection of over 117 trillion VND to the state budget.

However, the situation of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods is still complicated, with a wide scope, many subjects, and sophisticated and reckless methods and tricks. In this situation, the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister continues to identify the work of combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods as an important, urgent, regular, continuous and unceasing task of all levels and sectors, aiming to prevent, repel and eventually end the situation of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; linking this work with the work of protecting the health and legitimate rights of the people.

Next, Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quoc Huy - Deputy Chief of the Ministry of Public Security's Office in charge of United Nations peacekeeping gave information on the topic "On the Law on Participation in United Nations Peacekeeping Forces; Important milestones and achievements of the People's Public Security Forces in participating in United Nations peacekeeping activities in recent times". It focused on some outstanding results of the Ministry of Public Security in participating in United Nations peacekeeping activities. Although it has just participated in this activity, the Ministry of Public Security has made rapid and steady progress; affirming its growth, extensive and effective participation in the United Nations peacekeeping force; being welcomed and supported by the United Nations and international friends.

In the topic "Current public health care and breakthrough goals to meet the requirements of national development in the new era", Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong - Deputy Minister of Health stated: The Ministry of Health is submitting to the Politburo a draft resolution on breakthroughs in health care to meet the requirements of national development.

Focusing on 6 groups of tasks and breakthrough solutions, including: Innovation in thinking in leadership, direction and organization of implementation of people's health care work; perfecting institutions, focusing on improving the capacity of the health system, especially preventive medicine, primary health care, traditional medicine in line with the 2-level local government model; promoting training of high-quality health human resources, having special preferential policies for health human resources; promoting health financial reform and effectively and sustainably developing the health insurance system; making breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and comprehensive digital transformation in the health sector according to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; making breakthroughs in developing private health care, mobilizing and effectively using all resources for health system development.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang suggested that in the coming time, agencies, units and localities need to focus on widely disseminating the four important resolutions of the Politburo, considered the "four pillars" creating a solid foundation for the country's development and breakthrough.

Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen propaganda about Directive No. 46-CT/TW dated May 16, 2025 of the Politburo on leading the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; Conclusion No. 160-KL/TW dated May 31, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on implementing the task of reorganizing the apparatus and administrative units, ensuring progress and requirements according to resolutions and conclusions. At the same time, continue to promote propaganda about major holidays and important political and social events of the country, especially activities towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, thereby affirming the pioneering role, strong maturity and great contributions of the press in the cause of innovation and development of the country.

Information work needs to fully and promptly reflect the important foreign affairs activities of the Party and State; update the socio-economic situation, especially the outstanding results in the first months of 2025. Promote extensive propaganda on the results of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly to create social consensus and arouse the spirit of emulation and determination to act among the entire population.
