On June 7, the Investment Promotion Center of Binh Dinh province announced that Nhon Hoi Economic Zone yesterday, June 6, granted an investment license to the polyester fabric recycling production complex project of Syre Impact AB Group (Sweden), with a total registered capital of nearly VND25,000 billion (equivalent to USD1 billion).
The project aims to produce recycled polyester from textile waste, converting it into PET plastic granules, an input material for the textile industry. The designed capacity is 150,000 - 250,000 tons of products/year.
This is considered one of the large-scale green industrial projects in the Central coastal region, expected to create a breakthrough in the field of recycling and providing clean materials for the global textile supply chain.

According to the Investment Registration Certificate, the complex will be built on an area of nearly 29 hectares in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (Quy Nhon City), with an operating period of 50 years. The project implementation progress is 54 months from the date of licensing.
Specifically, from June to December 2026, investment procedures, construction planning, environmental impact assessment and related licenses will be completed. From January 2027 to the end of 2028, the factory will be built, equipment lines installed, trial run and in 2029, it is expected to be put into official operation.
