Gia Lai: Ensuring electricity supply during peak times

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with the Departments of Finance, Agriculture and Environment, Gia Lai Electricity Company, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to update monitoring information to proactively coordinate with central ministries, branches, EVN and units managing and operating power sources (hydropower, wind power, solar power) to fully implement the contents as required by the Prime Minister in the above telegram.

In particular, it is important to pay attention to planning for reasonable and specific water use for agricultural production and daily life needs, giving maximum priority to reserve water sources, making the most of wind and solar resources for power generation during peak times, and enhancing solutions for economical and efficient use of water, wind and solar.

Request Gia Lai Electricity Company to coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade in deploying to localities and relevant agencies and units to fully implement the directions of the Prime Minister, ministries and central branches on effective electricity saving in the area, especially public lighting, lighting for advertising, decoration and outdoor purposes; apply optimal management solutions, replace lighting with energy-saving lamps, apply automatic control technology, promote the application of solar energy solutions in public lighting, lighting for advertising and outdoor decoration purposes.
