On the morning of November 19, at Kpa Klong Square (Chu Prong commune, Gia Lai province), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province coordinated with the Ministry of National Defense to solemnly organize the 60th anniversary of Plei Me Victory (November 19, 1965 - November 19, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Comrade Rah Lan Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

In addition, there were also leaders and former leaders of the province through many periods; representatives of Military Region 5 , Army Corps 34, Army Corps 15; Traditional Liaison Committee of the Central Highlands Front (B3); historical witnesses, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, veterans and a large number of union members and youth.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Rah Lan Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, emphasized the great historical significance of the Plei Me Victory and expressed deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

He affirmed that the victory was not only created by the steadfast fighting strength of our army, but also stemmed from the affection, loyalty and protection of the people of the Central Highlands ethnic groups; from the undying belief in the day of total victory of the Fatherland.

At the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, Deputy Minister of National Defense, expressed his deep sympathy for the heavy losses that Gia Lai province had to suffer after storm No. 13. He hoped that the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people in the province would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, and soon stabilize life and production.

The Deputy Minister congratulated and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements that Gia Lai has achieved in socio -economic development, strengthening national defense, security and international integration in recent years, especially the period 50 years after liberation and 40 years of implementing the renovation process.

He emphasized that the province has made many efforts in building a strong national defense , an increasingly solid national defense posture and defense zones. At the same time, it has focused on building a regular and strong local armed force, becoming an important fulcrum in protecting the Fatherland in the strategic areas of the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast.

On this occasion, the Ministry of National Defense and Gia Lai province presented gifts of gratitude to witnesses and relatives of witnesses participating in the Plei Me Campaign in 1965. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Provincial Historical Relic Ranking Certificate "Ia Drang Valley Victory in 1965" to Ia Puch commune.

The 60th anniversary of the Plei Me Victory is an occasion to review revolutionary traditions and affirm the historical significance of the battle. At the same time, it also educates the younger generation about patriotism, solidarity and the indomitable will of the army and people of the Central Highlands.
