Special attention to preschool and primary school children
According to the plan, the specific goal set by 2030 of Gia Lai province is to continue to maintain, consolidate and improve the quality of universal preschooleducation for 5-year-old children; strive to complete universal preschool education for preschool children.
Specifically, the rate of mobilizing children to go to school is 25% of children of nursery age and 97% of children of kindergarten age; striving for 99.5% of preschool children to attend school 2 sessions/day; 100% of preschool teachers meeting the standard qualifications are trained according to the provisions of the Law on Education; the rate of private and non-public preschools is 16.5% or more; the number of children studying at private and non-public preschools is 35%; the rate of solid classrooms is 61% or more; over 65% of preschools meet national standards.
For general education , firmly maintain the results of universal primary and secondary education. In which, the whole province meets the standard of universal primary education level 2, strives for 70% of commune-level units or higher to meet the standard of universal primary education level 3 and improves the criteria for achieving universal primary education standards.
Regarding universalization of lower secondary education, the province strives to achieve universalization of lower secondary education level 2; 35% of commune-level units or higher achieve universalization of lower secondary education level 3 and improve criteria for achieving universalization of lower secondary education.
The rate of attending primary school at the right age reaches 99.5% or more, and the rate of completing secondary school at the right age reaches 97% or more; strive for the rate of completing primary school at the right age to reach 99.7%, secondary school to reach 99%, and high school to reach 95%.

Along with that, strive for the rate of transition from primary to secondary school to reach 99.5%, from secondary school to high school and other levels to reach 95%; 100% of primary school students study 2 sessions/day. 100% of general education teachers meet the standard qualifications and are trained according to the provisions of the Education Law. Strive for the number of private general education institutions to reach 5% and the number of students studying at private general education institutions to reach 5.5%.
In addition, by 2030, the rate of solid classrooms at primary, secondary and high schools will reach 100%; 70% of primary schools, 75% of secondary schools and 55% of high schools will meet national standards.
Strive for 90% of commune-level units to meet level 2 literacy standards
For vocational education and continuing education , the province strives to eliminate illiteracy for 0.5% of illiterate adults, including 0.4% of illiterate adults aged 15 to 60; the rate of level 1 literacy among 15-60 year olds reaches 99.1%, including the rate of level 1 literacy among 15-60 year olds in extremely disadvantaged areas and ethnic minority areas reaches 98.8%.

Strive for 90% of commune-level units to meet level 2 literacy standards and improve literacy criteria; 100% of secondary and high school students have access to professional career guidance and counseling services. The rate of youth aged 15-25 studying vocational education reaches 20%. Retraining and regular training for about 50% of the workforce. The rate of workers with information technology skills reaches 90%.
In addition, strive to build Gia Lai College into a high-quality school and have at least 1 center to support the development of inclusive education in the province.
The plan also sets out three main groups of tasks and solutions for implementation regarding propaganda work; innovation, improvement of the quality of universal education, compulsory education, adult literacy and promoting student streaming in general education; strengthening conditions to ensure universal education, compulsory education, adult literacy and promoting student streaming in general education.
