Russian Air Force Power Is Questioned, Moscow Immediately Shows Who Rules the Sky

The Russian Air Force is not as weak as Western media claims, as can be seen from the airstrikes in Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka.

While some Western experts are discussing the “weakness” of Russia’s tactical air force, other analysts are counting the number of craters left by Russian warplanes between the cities of Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka in Donetsk over the past two months.
2.jpg
With the help of software and artificial intelligence (AI), it is possible to accurately read high-definition satellite images. Assessing the landscape between the cities of Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka, it looks almost like on the “moon” with countless bomb craters. This has completely overshadowed any thoughts about the “weakness” of the Russian tactical aviation, in recent times.
3.jpg
According to calculations obtained during the study of satellite images, videos and other documents, during the above-mentioned period, about 1,700 characteristic traces on the ground, caused by strikes of explosive ordnance (FAB), weighing from 250 kg and more, dropped by Russian fighters, appeared.
4.jpg
With such a number of craters in one area, it shows that about 28 such bombs were dropped on designated target areas on the front every day. These were mainly high-explosive bombs with UMPK modules, dropped from Russian fighter aircraft, from about 60km away from the target area.
5.jpg
Such a density of bomb craters on the ground suggests that at least 10 sorties were carried out by the Russian tactical air force (mainly Su-34 fighter-bombers) every day, just to attack the area observed in the study.
6.jpg
This indicates the presence of tactical initiative on the part of Russia over Ukraine, which is gradually developing into operational initiative. In other areas of the front, the picture will not be much different, which confirms the conclusion about the advantage of the Russian army over the Ukrainian army.
7.jpg
Meanwhile, the Russian Military Review website said that Su-34 fighter bombers attacked Ukrainian military targets in the town of Orekhov with guided FAB bombs. This shows that the Ukrainian military's front-line air defense system is operating ineffectively.
8.jpg
According to intelligence, AFU reinforcements were transferred to the town of Orekhov, Zaporizhia province. Immediately afterwards, an airstrike from Russian fighter jets was carried out on the gathering place, using UMPK guided glide bombs. The target was hit.
9.jpg
AFU reinforcements were sent to Orekhov, with the aim of pushing the Russians back from Orekhov and from the Malye Shcherbaki-Stepovoye-Kamenskoye line. Earlier, the RFAF Dnieper Group crossed the Yanchekrak River and captured the village of Kamenskoye, located in the north of Zaporozhye Oblast.
10.jpg
The fact that the Russian tactical air force is active in the frontline area says a lot. For example, previously, due to the active activity of the AFU air defense forces, Russian bombers rarely used UMPK bombs from a distance of about 70-80 km near the frontline, but now such cases of use are being recorded more and more.
11.jpg
And not only Orekhov, Russian fighters also carried out deep bombings in the Zaporozhye region, Kharkov, Kherson, Shostka, Krivoy Rog, Slavyansk and a number of other cities. All this can be seen both in the growing professionalism of the Russian tactical aviation, as well as in the improvement of weapons.
3-1485.jpg
But what is also important is that the AFU's frontline air defense system has become much less effective than it was a year or two ago. There is probably a lack of missiles for the air defense system, as well as a lack of troops trained specifically in air defense combat.
13.jpg
But that does not mean that Russian fighters can "fly safely over the enemy's heads." Remember that the AFU's frontline air defense forces currently have a lot of modern man-portable air defense missiles (MANPADS), and their supply is not stopping.
14.jpg
Therefore, the Russian tactical air force only dared to drop glide bombs at a distance of 40 km or more from the front line. At such a distance, it was completely out of range of AFU's field air defense weapons (including the Buk-M1).
15.jpg
As for anti-aircraft weapons that can shoot down Russian aircraft at such a distance, only Patriot remains, but it is very rare and is prioritized by AFU to protect vulnerable areas. However, Russian aircraft do not dare to fly over the target, using unguided bombing methods in a dive style, which would make it easy for AFU MANPADs to shoot them down like in the early stages of the war.
