Lam Dong Provincial Military Command passed a resolution on military and defense for the last 6 months of the year.

On the morning of July 18, the Provincial Military Command held a conference to evaluate the results of military and defense tasks in the first 6 months of the year.

Colonel Dinh Hong Tieng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Nguyen Van Son, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; and Colonel Le Anh Vuong, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, presided over the conference.

The leaders of the departments and divisions; the commanders of the 5 regional defense command boards; and representatives of the Border Guard forces attended the conference.

In the first six months of 2025, the Provincial Military Command successfully carried out many tasks. Notably, the Provincial Military Command implemented directives, orders, and documents from higher levels regarding combat readiness. They maintained a firm grasp of the local situation, preventing any passive or unexpected situations from arising, and avoiding the emergence of hotspots.

Strictly implement the reorganization of the political system and the local military agencies at all levels. Effectively implement policies and regulations for the cadre. In border defense work, the Provincial Military Command has implemented a comprehensive set of measures to manage and protect the border, promptly and effectively handling border and territorial issues. They have strictly controlled the movement of people and vehicles in and out of the border area.

At sea, maintain coordinated cooperation with the 4th Naval Region and the 3rd Coast Guard Region to firmly protect the province's maritime sovereignty and islands.

Effectively carry out defense diplomacy through exchange activities, visits, and support for students who are officers of the Lao People's Army and officers of the Royal Cambodian Army studying at the Army Academy, and for students from the Lao People's Democratic Republic studying at Da Lat University.

At the same time, maintain twinning activities with the Kampong Chhnang Military Sub-district, the Siem Reap Provincial Military Sub-district, and the Mondunkiri Provincial Military Sub-district (Royal Cambodian Army).

In coordination with relevant agencies, we organized medical examinations, provided medicine, and distributed gifts to the people of Senmonorum commune, Orang district (Cambodia); and held talks with the Mondunkiri Provincial Police Department on cooperation in maintaining security and order in the border area.

Party and political work has been carried out effectively, contributing to ensuring the strength of the entire provincial armed forces. Logistics and technical support have been ensured for all regular and unexpected tasks of the Provincial Military Command.

At the conference, delegates, including commanders of the regional defense commands and three regiments, reported on the difficulties encountered after the reorganization and merger.

The commanders of the Provincial Military Command directly answered the questions raised by the units; at the same time, they provided guidance on solutions and ways to address the issues in the future.

Concluding the conference, Colonel Dinh Hong Tieng affirmed: Despite unprecedented changes, the Provincial Military Command has effectively carried out its tasks. However, obstacles are unavoidable. Currently, the Provincial Military Command is advising higher-level agencies to gradually resolve these issues in accordance with the law.

In the coming period, there will be many major local and national events. To ensure effective operation, the Provincial Military Command requires units to focus on implementing key tasks including: building internal unity; finalizing documents, operational plans, and plans for protecting agencies and units; preparing for the second phase of training; strictly maintaining combat readiness; advising localities on building strong defense zones; reviewing and improving the training of national defense and security knowledge for relevant personnel; and training officers and soldiers to strictly adhere to discipline.

In addition, coordinate forces to closely monitor the situation, ensure stability in the area, and prevent any unexpected incidents, especially in border areas and remote regions; strictly manage national defense land to prevent encroachment; increase production and participate in socio-economic development; review and adjust the planning of military units; do a good job in supporting the armed forces; effectively combat cybercrime; and make the best preparations for the Provincial Military Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term…
