Rice price today April 28: Rice export price increased slightly

Rice prices today, April 28, 2025, in the Mekong Delta region fluctuated slightly. The market volume is small, rice exports continue to increase slightly, domestic rice is relatively stable, fresh rice prices are stable compared to the weekend.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, raw rice IR 504 increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 8,050 - 8,250 VND/kg; raw rice CL 555 increased by 100 VND/kg, fluctuating at 8,400 - 8,700 VND/kg; raw rice OM 18 fluctuated at 10,200 - 10,400 VND/kg; raw rice OM 380 fluctuated at 7,700 - 7,850; raw rice 5451 fluctuated at 9,600 - 9,750/kg; finished rice OM 380 fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; finished rice IR 504 fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 7,450 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, fragrant rice bran ranges from 7,450 - 7,600 VND/kg; the price of bran ranges from 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, some warehouses are preparing for holidays, the market is stable. In An Giang and Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the volume is sporadic, rice transactions are slow, and prices of all types of rice are stable.

Sa Dec market canal ( Dong Thap ), low quantity, slow warehouse buying, stable price. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), no boats, rice sellers are selling rice, price is stable.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds are stable compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND13,000 - 15,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND16,000 - 18,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND16,000/kg; Soc rice often fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 21,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 20,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 20,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In many localities today, dry rice trading is slow, prices are stable; farmers are offering to sell early summer-autumn rice. In An Giang and Can Tho, summer-autumn rice is offered for sale in small quantities, transactions are slow, and prices are stable.

In Kien Giang, summer-autumn rice prices are stable, trading is quiet, many traders are on holiday. In Long An, the supply is sporadic, traders are absent, mainly buying rice that has been deposited, prices are stable.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 395 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 368 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 323 USD/ton.
