Specifically, today's pepper price in Gia Lai province remains stable and is purchased at 147,500 VND; pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province continues to maintain a high price, currently the purchase price is 147,000 VND/kg; similarly, pepper price in Binh Phuoc remains stable compared to the previous trading session, currently the pepper purchase price is 147,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong are currently at a fairly high level and increasing slightly. Currently, the pepper purchase price in these two localities is at the same price of 148,200 VND/kg.

According to the latest statistics just released by the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in 2024, our country exported 250,600 tons of pepper of all kinds, reaching nearly 1.32 billion USD. Compared to 2023, the export volume decreased by 5.1%, but the export turnover increased dramatically by 45.4%.

Experts say pepper prices will remain high in 2025 thanks to stable demand and limited supply. However, the market also faces challenges from speculators and a heavy dependence on key markets such as the US and China.
Whole black pepper is the most exported variety of Vietnam in 2024, with a volume of 180,695 tons, accounting for 72.1% of the total pepper export volume of the country, but down 12.1% compared to the previous year.
The export volume of whole white pepper also decreased by 2% to 19,814 tons, accounting for 7.9% of the total. In addition, the volume of pickled pepper, raw pepper, nailhead pepper, green pepper, etc. decreased by 13.2%, reaching 1,453 tons.
However, exports of two products, ground black pepper and ground white pepper, increased sharply by 31.3% and 36.2%, respectively, reaching 38,121 tons and 10,517 tons. As a result, the proportion of ground black pepper in total exports increased to 15.2% and ground white pepper to 4.2%, from 11% and 2.9% of the previous year.

World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) at 4:30 a.m. on January 26, 2025 as follows: the pepper market tends to be stable and is anchored at a high level.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,157 USD/ton; similarly, Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 9,456 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market continues to remain stable and at a high level. Currently, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,000 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,600 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil have stabilized after many previous declines. Currently, the pepper purchase price in Brazil is at 6,150 USD/ton.
The export market for Vietnamese pepper continues to be stable and slightly increasing. Specifically, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is currently at 6,350 USD/ton for 500 g/l and 6,650 USD/ton for 550 g/l; the price of white pepper is at 9,550 USD/ton.

In the international market, pepper prices in Indonesia continued to increase due to high import demand from China and the US. Malaysia still maintained the highest price in the world, especially ASTA white pepper at 11,600 USD/ton. In contrast, pepper prices in Brazil recovered slightly after a long period of being affected by climate change.
IPC estimates that global pepper production in 2024 will decrease by 4% compared to 2023, equivalent to 22,000 tons, to 558,000 tons. This decrease will mainly come from Brazil and Vietnam.
