World gold price today June 15, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 3,433.88 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.4% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,200 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 108.5 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 11.8 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Gold prices have surged to their highest since April, but overnight gains reaffirmed the precious metal’s status as a safe haven after Israel carried out airstrikes on Iranian nuclear and missile targets, killing several senior military officers.
It is worth noting that while gold prices have risen sharply, the US dollar and US Treasury bonds have not received the expected safe haven flows. Mohamed El-Erian, former CEO of PIMCO and currently President of Queens College, Cambridge, warned investors not to rely too much on the US dollar and US bonds as traditional safe haven assets.
Forecasting the world gold price trend, although the world gold market is increasing to a sky-high level, many experts believe that this precious metal will continue to hold an important position in the investment portfolio so it is difficult to decrease.
BCA Research's forecast for gold shows a solid base at $3,000 an ounce, despite concerns that interest rate cuts could boost stocks.
Investors buying gold increased. The world's largest gold investment fund, SPDR, bought 3.72 tons of gold on June 12, increasing its holdings to 937.91 tons. This was the first purchase this week after selling 0.31 and 1.72 tons.
