SJC and Doji gold bar price list updated on the morning of August 6
World gold prices fell this morning. At 9:09 a.m. today (August 6, Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 3,375.4 USD/ounce, down 2.6 USD/ounce compared to last night.
On the morning of August 6 , the world gold price converted to USD bank price was over 108.5 million VND/tael, including tax and fees, about 15.3 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
As of 8:40 p.m. on August 5 (Vietnam time), the spot gold price today on the international market was at $3,378/ounce. Gold for December 2025 delivery on the Comex New York floor was at $3,433/ounce.
The world gold price on the night of August 5 was about 28.7% higher (equivalent to 753 USD/ounce) than at the end of 2024. World gold converted to the bank USD price was 108.6 million VND/tael, including taxes and fees, about 15.2 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price as of the end of the afternoon of August 5.
Gold prices on the New York floor on the evening of August 5 (Vietnam time) skyrocketed after plunging on the Asian market earlier.
Gold rose sharply amid the trade war between the US and some important partners. US President Donald Trump said the European Union (EU) could face a 35% tariff if it fails to fulfill its commitments, including a $600 billion investment.

Tensions between the US, Russia and India also contributed to the increase in gold prices.
Mr. Trump announced that he would increase tariffs on Indian goods “within the next 24 hours.” Previously, the US President threatened to increase tariffs “substantially” on goods from India because this country still “buys a lot of Russian oil” and “resells much of it to the market” for profit without caring about the conflict in Ukraine.
India is the world's third largest oil importer and consumer. Russia is its largest supplier.
Last week, Mr Trump announced a 25% tariff on imports from India and stressed that the country would also face an unspecified penalty.
Indian stock indexes have fallen sharply following fresh tariff threats from the US. Some forecasts suggest that Indian exports to the US could fall by 30% this year.
Gold prices have also increased sharply as investors bet on the possibility that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates at its meeting on September 17.
Domestic gold prices continued to increase sharply. By the end of the trading session on August 5, the price of 9999 gold bars at SJC and Doji was listed at 122.2-123.8 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500,000 VND in both buying and selling compared to the previous session. This price is only slightly lower than the historical peak of 124 million VND/tael (recorded on April 22).
SJC announced the price of gold rings of type 1-5 at only 116.8-119.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500,000 VND in both directions. Doji announced the price of gold rings at 117.5-120 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 500,000 VND in both directions.
Gold Price Forecast
It can be seen that the price of gold has fluctuated strongly recently, skyrocketing and then falling sharply. However, gold seems to have entered a new, higher price range. If previously, the spot price of gold fluctuated between 3,300-3,350 USD/ounce for about a month, recently it has fluctuated within a new range, around 3,350-3,400 USD/ounce.
Demand for gold increased every time the price fell to $3,350/ounce. This is considered a new support level for the precious metal in the past week.
With trade uncertainties and geopolitical tensions escalating, gold has additional supportive factors and could reach $3,400/ounce as some recent forecasts have made.
In the long term, gold could be supported by a bearish US dollar, which has weakened sharply since the start of the year on expectations of a US interest rate cut and Mr Trump’s desire to ease monetary policy.
Gold is forecast to surpass $3,400 an ounce in September as the Fed cuts interest rates and could go further if the US central bank ramps up monetary easing.
As of 9:30 p.m. on August 5 (Vietnam time), according to signals from the CME FedWatch tool, the market is betting on a 90.4% chance that the Fed will cut interest rates by 0.25 percentage points on September 17 and only a 9.6% chance that the US central bank will keep interest rates at 4.25-4.5%/year at that meeting.
Gold price increases sharply, world price difference is 15 million/tael: How hot will this fever get? World gold price escalates, SJC gold bars suddenly skyrocket by 2 million VND, while plain rings reach a historical peak. The difference with the world price is increased to 15 million VND/tael. So what is happening?
