SJC gold bar price hits new peak, many people are still willing to spend money to buy

SJC gold bar price reached a historical peak of around 124 million VND/tael, far surpassing gold ring price and world gold price.

On the morning of August 8, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at 122.6 million VND/tael and the selling price at 124 million VND/tael, down 100,000 VND per tael compared to yesterday's peak.

Some other gold companies such as PNJ, DOJI , and Mi Hong also traded SJC gold bar prices at the highest peak ever set last April.

Meanwhile, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds continued to be stable at 116.8 million VND/tael for buying and 119.3 million VND/tael for selling.

In the gold market, while some people are waiting for the price of gold bars to decrease to narrow the gap with world prices and are not in a hurry to buy, many others are still willing to buy gold bars at the peak.

Specifically, at the SJC Gold Company (HCMC), every day there are dozens of customers waiting in line to buy gold. Each turn, a customer will be able to buy 1 tael of SJC gold bar.

"If you are willing to queue up many times, you will be able to buy more or depending on the time the company informs you whether there is gold or not. For the past three days, I have been coming here to queue up to buy gold every day. I buy it to save so I am not too worried about the peak gold price" - Ms. Bich Tram (living in Ban Co ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said.

SJC gold bar price increased

Some gold companies said that due to limited supply, the price of SJC gold bars increased rapidly compared to the world price, when there were no sellers in the market but there were still buyers. However, the scale of the gold market has shrunk significantly compared to before.

The price of SJC gold bars remains at the peak not only due to the scarcity of supply but also due to the influence of the world gold price. Currently, the gold price today on the international market is traded at 3,384 USD/ounce, down about 10 USD/ounce compared to the previous session. But this is still the highest price of gold in the past 2 weeks.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 107.6 million VND/tael, 16.4 million VND/tael lower than SJC gold bars.
