Prosecution and temporary detention of the subject who slashed his brother-in-law

On the morning of October 5, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police announced that it had served the decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and order the temporary detention of Pham Tuan Duc (born in 1996, residing in Tuong Van village, Cam Yen commune, Thanh Hoa province) for the crime of "Murder". The case occurred in Hamlet 5, An Bien commune (An Giang province), on September 23, 2025.

According to information from the investigation agency, around March 2025, Pham Tuan Duc went to An Bien commune ( An Giang province) to work for a living. During this time, Duc met and lived as husband and wife with Ms. TV (born in 2008), a local resident.

At around 10pm on September 22, Duc organized a drinking party with V.'s family members at V.'s house. At around 5am on September 23, Duc was tired and went to the room to rest. V. said that Duc did not respect V.'s family, so the two sides had a conflict. Duc used his hand to hit V., so V. went into the house to get a homemade knife and threw it on the floor, then continued to argue with Duc.

At this time, Mr. DT (born in 2000, V.'s older brother) was in the house and heard V. crying so he ran out and hit Duc with his hand. Angry at being beaten, Duc picked up a homemade knife and slashed Mr. T.'s face, causing serious injuries. After that, Duc fled the scene. Mr. T. was taken to the hospital by his family. In the afternoon of the same day, Duc went to An Bien Commune Police to surrender and confessed his actions.

The case is being further investigated by the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police.
