Gold price this morning decreased by half a million dong per tael

At 6:00 a.m. on May 23, the world gold price was trading at 3,303 USD/ounce, down nearly 20 USD/ounce compared to the same time the previous day. Compared to the peak in last night's trading session, the gold price was 37 USD/ounce lower.

Gold prices fell due to profit-taking pressure from investors after prices hit a high earlier. At nearly 9 a.m., the precious metal was trading at $3,303.6/ounce, about VND15.6 million/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

In the domestic market, at the beginning of the hour, many businesses listed SJC gold bars at 118 million VND/tael (buy) - 120 million VND/tael (sell), down 500,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of the previous day.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings decreased in some places and remained the same in others. Phu Quy Group set the price of gold rings at 112.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 115.5 million VND/tael (sell), unchanged from the end of yesterday.

Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of gold rings of type 1-5 only at 112.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 115.5 million VND/tael (sell).

Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company reduced the buying price by VND500,000/tael and kept the selling price unchanged, at VND112.5 million/tael (buying) - VND115.5 million/tael (selling).

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited set the price at 114.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 117.5 million VND/tael (sell), down 300,000 VND/tael each way.

Yesterday morning, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 800,000 VND/tael (buying price) and 300,000 VND/tael, to 119.3 million VND/tael (buying price) - 121.3 million VND/tael (selling price) - the highest level in more than a week; the price of gold rings "increased" by 500,000 VND/tael.

However, by the end of the day, the price of the piece decreased to 118.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 120.5 million VND/tael (sell) while the price of gold rings remained unchanged.
