Gold price jumps to 77 million VND/tael
Domestic gold prices continued to increase sharply, soaring to 77 million VND/tael at the end of the week. Survey at 5:00 a.m. on January 14, gold prices on the trading floors of some companies are as follows:

DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 73.95 million VND/tael for buying and 76.95 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 74.50 - 75.80 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 74.00 - 76.90 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
The world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,049.155 USD/ounce. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank , it is about 59.728 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 14.272 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Oil rose at the end of the week
Gasoline and oil prices Oil prices continued to rise as more tankers were diverted from the Red Sea following air and sea strikes by the US and UK on Houthi targets.
Brent oil prices are trading at nearly $80/barrel, while WTI oil prices are at $73/barrel.

In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today (January 14) are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of January 11 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.
Accordingly, gasoline and oil prices were adjusted up. Of which, the price of RON 95 gasoline increased to nearly 22,000 VND per liter.
Specifically, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased to VND21,040 per liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline increased to VND21,930 per liter.
Pig price remains stable
Pig prices today (January 14) remained stable over the weekend and recorded an average price exceeding 50,000 VND/kg.
In the Northern region, the price of live pigs fluctuates between 52,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.
In the Central region, pork prices are quiet and fluctuate between 49,000 - 51,000 VND/kg.
Southern region, fluctuates between 49,000 - 51,000 VND/kg.

Currently, approaching the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, the demand for pork consumption tends to increase, so experts say that the price of live pigs will also increase gradually every day. However, the increase is not too sudden and it is difficult to exceed 60,000 VND/kg because purchasing power is still low, not enough to pull the price up strongly again.
Domestic coffee prices slightly decreased
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:12 a.m. on January 14, down slightly by about VND100/kg, but are still at a high level. Currently, the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces is about VND70,500/kg, with the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province being VND70,700/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 70,600 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 70,700 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 70,000 VND/kg.
Coffee prices today in Dak Lak province are higher, at 70,500 VND/kg.
