Domestic gold price is more than 17 million VND/tael higher than world price

On the first day of August, domestic gold prices remained almost unchanged.

Opening, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of 1-5 tael gold rings at 114.6 million VND/tael (buy) - 117.1 million VND/tael (sell), unchanged from the end of the previous day.

Phu Quy Group reduced 100,000 VND/tael each way, to 114.9 million VND/tael (buy) - 117.9 million VND/tael (sell).

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited continues to list at 116.2 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.2 million VND/tael (sell).

Domestic gold prices have just experienced a month of little change. Overall, the price of the precious metal increased by nearly 2 million VND/tael for the week.

In the international market, early this morning, the world gold price was trading at 3,295 USD/ounce, down 20 USD/ounce from the peak in the trading session last night, down sharply from 3,328 USD/ounce at the same time the previous day. The world gold price decreased due to pressure when the demand for gold from central banks gradually decreased.

At nearly 9:00 a.m., the world gold price was trading at 3,287.7 USD/ounce, about 17.2 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price.

This difference increased by about 500,000 VND/tael compared to the previous day, because the domestic gold price did not move in line with the international price.
