Global markets affected by geopolitical tensions
Crude oil prices on the world market on the morning of July 20 recorded a slight decrease. Brent oil was at 69.23 USD/barrel and WTI oil reached 67.30 USD/barrel. The decrease stemmed from concerns about supply when the European Union announced a new package of sanctions against Russia. Meanwhile, in the US, conflicting information about inflation, interest rates and construction activities continued to affect consumer expectations and energy demand.
Market outlook
The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world oil market in the most recent management period was affected by many factors such as fluctuations in reserves, US tariff policies and tensions in Ukraine. Domestically, the management agency continued not to set aside the Price Stabilization Fund.
