Faced with fluctuations in world oil prices, businesses predict that domestic gasoline prices tomorrow may increase by 280-400 VND/liter; while oil prices will increase more sharply.
According to records, on the world market this morning (January 15), oil price fell more than 1% after new information related to US oil supply. Accordingly, Brent oil price decreased by 1.09 USD, equivalent to 1.35%, to 79.9 USD/barrel; WTI oil decreased by 1.32 USD, to 77.5 USD/barrel.
However, the commodity is still at a four-month high as China and India seek new suppliers following sanctions imposed by the Biden administration on Russian oil.
Updated gasoline price data on the Singapore market as of January 14 shows that gasoline 92 is trading at 86.3 USD/barrel, gasoline 95 is at 88.4 USD/barrel, an increase of about 3 USD/barrel compared to a week ago.
Petroleum key enterprises predict that with the increase in imported gasoline prices, RON 95 gasoline price Tomorrow, the price of gasoline may increase by 280 VND/liter, E5 RON 92 gasoline will increase by 400 VND/liter. Diesel oil will increase by 700 VND/liter, kerosene will increase by 680 VND/liter, and fuel oil will increase by 160 VND/liter.
Meanwhile, a southern petroleum company forecasts that RON 95 gasoline may increase by 50-150 VND, E5 RON 92 gasoline by 200-300 VND. Oil prices will increase by 400-500 VND.
Currently, the retail price of gasoline is traded according to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance on January 9. During this management period, the joint ministry increased the retail price of RON 95 by 273 VND/liter, to 21,019 VND/liter. The retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 374 VND/liter, to 20,431 VND/liter.
Diesel prices increased by VND488/liter to VND19,243/liter. Kerosene retail prices increased by VND410/liter to VND19,244/liter. Fuel oil prices increased by VND83/kg to VND16,182/kg.
Since the beginning of 2025, domestic gasoline prices have undergone two upward adjustments.
