On the afternoon of November 19, at Song Cam Theater (No. 274 Le Loi, Ngo Quyen Ward, Hai Phong City), Hai Phong Traditional Theater participated in the 6th International Experimental Theater Festival - 2025 with the puppet show "Dream of Green Frog".
This year's festival takes place from November 15 to 30 in four provinces and cities: Hanoi , Ninh Binh, Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong, bringing together nearly 1,000 artists and 29 performances by many domestic and international art troupes.
The event continues to affirm the role of experimental theatre in finding new ways of expression, promoting creativity and creating a forum for professional exchange between artists.

The play “The Dream of Green Frog” opens up a beautiful, sparkling and magical natural space, depicting the happy life of the character Green Frog and the “residents” of the village pond such as Mr. Toad, Ms. Tre, the family of Chao Chuoc…
The danger of environmental pollution suddenly struck: smoke, dust, and garbage covered the water surface, the air became suffocating, seriously threatening the living environment of the entire village.
The stage images built from real-life situations vividly recreate the urgent problem of climate change that all species are suffering from.
To fully convey the message, the creative team and theater artists continuously switched between the dry stage and the water stage.

The play's music is also carefully invested, combining a variety of folk music to pop and rock, creating rich layers of emotions, giving the audience an aesthetic and modern experience... making a strong impression when participating in the 6th International Experimental Theatre Festival - 2025.
The play features the participation of artists from the Puppetry Art Troupe (Hai Phong Traditional Theater) directed by People's Artist Nguyen Tien Dung, script written by Pham Xuan Hieu, and art direction by Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy.
“The Dream of the Green Frog” is also one of the works expected to contribute to promoting the creativity of artists from the coastal city in the contemporary theatrical scene.

Participating in the festival is an opportunity for Hai Phong's traditional arts to reach a wider audience, while opening up opportunities to exchange and learn from international friends.
