The 2026 Youth Union Journalism Awards has a total of 36 awards.

The 2026 National Press Award on Youth Union and Youth Movement will receive entries from January to the end of June 2026.

On December 1, information from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union said: The 2026 National Press Award on Youth Union work and youth movements will accept works in the following categories: print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television, press photos, multimedia journalism and journalism about children and Young Pioneer work.

Entries must be published in legal press agencies and belong to the following categories: news, articles, interviews, reports, notes, comments, treatises, documentaries or multimedia products from May 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

In addition to traditional contents such as the results of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress, the National Youth Union Congress, the annual work programs of the Youth Union, innovation in the content and methods of Youth Union activities, protection of the Party's ideological foundation..., this year's Award has a notable highlight which is the reception of works reflecting the activities of youth nationwide towards the major national holidays in 2025.

The Award Portal will officially accept entries in January and will close on June 30, 2026 at: giaibaochi.doanthanhnien.vn .

For each category of print, electronic, radio and television, the Central Youth Union will award a set of prizes, including: 1 A prize worth 20 million VND, 1 B prize worth 15 million VND, 2 C prizes each worth 10 million VND; 3 Encouragement prizes each worth 5 million VND.

For the photojournalism category, there is one prize worth 10 million VND. Meanwhile, the multimedia journalism category has two prizes (each prize worth 10 million VND).

This year’s Organizing Committee has a separate award system for press works about children, the work of the Young Pioneers and the children’s movement. Specifically, there is 1 A prize worth 20 million VND, 1 B prize worth 15 million VND and 1 C prize worth 10 million VND.

In addition, there will be 2 awards given to news agencies, newspapers or provincial, municipal and affiliated unions that actively participate in responding, sending and proposing the most entries, each award is 5 million VND.
