Parade to promote HIV/AIDS prevention and control

On December 1, the Provincial Center for Disease Control organized a parade in response to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and World AIDS Day (December 1).

According to the report of the Center for Disease Control, the whole province currently has 1,668 people infected with HIV who are alive and being managed. The total number of communes and wards with people infected with HIV is 107/124 communes and wards with people infected with HIV. Of which, Son Duong area has the highest number of people infected with HIV who are alive and being managed, accounting for 17%; Tuyen Quang area (old Tuyen Quang city) 15.9%; Bac Quang area 12.2%...

Responding to the "National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and World AIDS Day on December 1, 2024" with the theme "Unity is strength - joining hands to end the AIDS epidemic", the Provincial Center for Disease Control calls on the entire community to respond and proactively coordinate with the health sector to actively participate in HIV/AIDS prevention and control activities.

During the program, 50 officers and youth union members of the Provincial Center for Disease Control marched along the main roads in Minh Xuan Ward. This is a meaningful communication activity in response to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control in 2025 and World AIDS Day on December 1.

Through this, we aim to raise awareness of the community, especially the youth, in preventing HIV/AIDS; reduce stigma and discrimination against people infected with HIV and people affected by HIV/AIDS, and strive towards the goal of ending AIDS by 2030.
