'Green Dream' pickleball tournament for people in the Central and Central Highlands regions

The 2025 'Green Dream' pickleball tournament, organized by the Journalists and Public Opinion Newspaper, opened today at the Cau Giay pickleball court cluster (Hanoi), with a special focus on the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions who are being severely affected by floods.

At the opening ceremony of the "Green Dream" pickleball tournament, the organizers called for and received positive responses from athletes, guests and benefactors to support the people of the Central and Central Highlands regions who are seriously affected by floods. These urgent contributions demonstrate the spirit of mutual love and the tradition of "loving others as you love yourself" of the Vietnamese people, and at the same time show the responsibility and heart of the press community and sports lovers in the face of the difficulties of their compatriots.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association delivered the opening speech at the 'Green Dream' pickleball tournament.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper , Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association expressed his deep concern for the people of the Central and Central Highlands provinces who are severely affected by the floods, causing great loss of life and property. He called on athletes and guests to join hands to support, contributing to sharing difficulties, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love - a precious tradition of the Vietnamese people.

Right after the opening ceremony, the "Green Dream" 2025 pickleball tournament took place in an exciting atmosphere with the participation of 240 athletes from many press agencies, partner units and pickleball-loving communities.

In the men’s doubles over 40 years old category, Nguyen Van Cuong and Nguyen Gia Lam won the championship; the mixed doubles under 40 years old category went to Nguyen The Anh and Do Trang. Many athletes donated all their prize money to support the “Green Dream” program, contributing to spreading the spirit of charity and the humanitarian meaning of the tournament.
