Dissolving non-public educational institutions is false information.

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) affirmed that information on social networks about the closure and dissolution of non-public educational institutions, also known as private schools, is untrue, fabricated, distorted, and negatively affects the psychology of the people as well as educational institutions. The MOET has forwarded the information to competent authorities for consideration and handling.

Recently, on social networks, there has been a lot of information that non-public and private schools will be closed and disbanded, students will have to transfer to public schools. This information has surprised many parents and the public, even confused and worried.

The Ministry of Education and Training has issued a notice, affirming that this is false, fabricated, distorted information, causing information disruption, negatively affecting the psychology of people, parents, students as well as the activities of educational institutions.

The Ministry of Education and Training has forwarded information about the accounts posting the above false information to competent authorities for consideration and handling in accordance with the law. At the same time, it requests that people do not share or spread false information, and follow information through the official channels of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Currently, the country has more than 4,000 non-public educational institutions. Over the years, non-public educational institutions have made many contributions by creating more quality learning options for students, reducing the burden on the public school system, training high-quality human resources, contributing to economic development through job creation and attracting non-budgetary resources. In addition, non-public schools also develop international linkage programs within the country, helping to retain foreign currency and access advanced education.

The Party and the State have always paid attention to non-public education. Recently, Resolution No. 71 on breakthrough development of education and training of the Politburo has also paid attention to non-public educational institutions through many preferential policies, including not applying corporate income tax to non-profit establishments, reducing taxes, fees and supporting land use. The Resolution also promotes autonomy for educational institutions regardless of the level of financial autonomy and encourages public-private cooperation to attract investment in the education sector.
