Friendly football match for officials and civil servants of three localities: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and in the exciting atmosphere of merging localities, aiming for sustainable and comprehensive development, creating a new development space with great potential, for the cause of comprehensive innovation, bringing the country into a new era of development, at 3:00 p.m. on April 20 at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC), the HCM City civil servant football team coordinated with the Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provincial civil servant football teams, and former Southern national team players to organize a friendly football match.

This is an opportunity for the officers and employees of the three localities before the merger to exchange, enhance understanding and connection, thereby better coordinating work during the upcoming merger.

Mr. Cao Van Chong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province, said that the friendly football event was held at a very meaningful time. Although not professional players, the players who are officials and civil servants still took to the field with a spirit of exchange and excitement, despite the hot weather and high temperature.

In the first round, Binh Duong team beat the former Southern team 3-0. Then, Ho Chi Minh City team came from behind to beat Ba Ria - Vung Tau 4-1. The two winning teams entered the final to compete for the championship cup, while the two losing teams played for third place.
