The 2nd Pickleball Tournament of the Labor Newspaper in 2025 is scheduled to take place all day on December 13 at the pickleball court cluster of the Labor Culture Palace in Ho Chi Minh City (55B Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Ben Thanh Ward) with a total prize of nearly 100 million VND and gifts.

Pickleball is a sport that is loved by many fans, practiced and competed. More and more playgrounds appear with high professional quality, attractive prizes, contributing to motivating and encouraging people to improve their physical health and spiritual and cultural life in general, developing the pickleball movement in agencies and departments in the city in particular.

The tournament is divided into 2 groups according to the age groups from 18-44 and from 45 years old and above; each age group has the events of men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The tournament officially opens for registration from November 15 to December 8. Depending on the number of athletes and pairs participating, the Organizing Committee will decide the appropriate competition format. Each athlete can only participate in a maximum of 2 events according to age group to create the best competition conditions.

According to the tournament rules, matches from the group stage to the quarter-finals will take place in one set, each set of 11 points and change of sides from 6 points, a gap of 2 points is a win from 10-10 points with a final score of 15; from the semi-finals to the final, each match will take place in one set, each set of 15 points and change of sides from 8 points, a gap of 2 points is a win from 14-14 points with a final score of 21.

Pickleball is a new sport that has been introduced to Vietnam not long ago but has quickly received the support of a large part of the sports-loving public. Pickleball is even recognized by society as a sport with strong connections, from family members to friends, colleagues... besides its main role as a supplementary tool for daily life through training and competition, improving health.

At the tournament, the Organizing Committee will mobilize donations from philanthropists, sponsors and athletes to raise funds to support poor students, poor emergency patients who cannot pay hospital fees and support poor people, people who have suffered heavy losses due to natural disasters, and homeless people to celebrate the upcoming Binh Ngo New Year.

The first Pickleball Tournament of the Lao Dong Newspaper was held in 2025 with 200 athletes (100 pairs) participating in 6 events. The second tournament is expected to welcome many athletes from Ho Chi Minh City as well as from many localities across the country, thereby joining hands with the organizers to promote community values through sports competitions.

The registration fee for the competition is 1 million VND/pair. In all categories, the first prize is 6 million VND and a trophy; second prize is 4 million VND and a medal; third prize is 2 million VND/prize and a medal.

In addition, the Organizing Committee will award additional gifts depending on the actual situation.
