Teacher blocked on the road, robbed of 900,000 VND

On March 8, Ky Anh District Police ( Ha Tinh ) prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Hoi (31 years old, residing in Lam Hop commune) for the crime of robbery.

Male teacher was assaulted and robbed of 900,000 VND.

According to authorities, on the afternoon of March 1, after teaching at school, teacher Tran Duc Hai (41 years old, teacher at Ky Lam High School, Ky Anh district) drove his car home.

When passing through Ky Tan commune, Ky Anh district, Mr. Hai was blocked by Hoi.

When the male teacher opened the car door to ask for the reason, he was suddenly attacked repeatedly in the face by the suspect. Hoi then threatened and robbed Mr. Hai of 900,000 VND before escaping.

From the report, Ky Anh District Police coordinated with relevant units to identify Nguyen Van Hoi as the suspect causing the incident.

The leaders of Ky Lam High School said that Mr. Hai had worked at the school for 15 years and lived about 35 km from the school. After the incident, the male teacher had to take a leave of absence for treatment, but has now recovered and can return to work at the school.
