Among the outstanding projects presented at the Conference, Joe Chen – National Taiwan University and his colleagues introduced a project on inventing a system to detect environmental data related to the currently seriously polluted air quality. He also proposed some suitable solutions to adapt and reduce dust from air pollution in areas with high population density.

From this system, Joe Chen hopes to provide a foundational tool that can be used to measure air quality, helping climate scientists research and serving as a timely forecasting bulletin.

Coming from Cambodia, Fy Ena and Smael Shafeak (14 years old) shared their initiative to use plastic waste to recycle into useful items in life such as using plastic water bottles to transform into baskets or storage boxes...

For other non-recyclable plastic waste such as plastic bottle caps, the students cleverly created beautiful bags that can be used when going out or traveling, and it only took their group about 1-3 hours to complete. When presenting the products to the judges at the Conference, the students successfully sold 2 recycled items for $4.

Nguyen Nguyet Linh (Vietnam) introduced her and her group's project "ACT". The group organized exhibitions related to protecting the planet and brought them to places such as cafes, educational centers, etc. to convey the message they wanted to share with everyone.

Nguyen Nguyet Linh said: I carried out this project based on my previous experiences and projects, such as the way I influence people's awareness through implementing environmental protection programs and propaganda for everyone to respond. Accordingly, I call on everyone to participate in environmental activities at school, in the area where I live... From there, I can spread the love for the environment to more people as well as change their behavior and awareness, especially children, to protect the living environment around them.

Ms. Ang Swee Ann - Founding President of Hemisphere Foundation - Singapore highly appreciated GYS 2023 held in Vietnam. The conference has connected many young people from all over the world who are interested in the environment and expressed their views and ideas through speeches, presentations, and many unique creative ideas from reusable items.

Recommendations, messages and green initiatives will be sent to stakeholders after the Summer Camp - Forum to connect and optimize resources to support young people to effectively implement "Green Initiatives" with the promotion of the "Green Leaders" network - the core force in communication activities to spread the movement to protect the living environment in the community and society in Vietnam. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility in environmental protection of students, promoting green human resources, green growth by 2030 for Vietnam in particular, and Asian countries in general.
