Attending at Lang Nu bridge point, Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district were Mr. Nguyen Trong Hai, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Nguyen The Luc - Deputy Commander of Army Corps 12, Truong Son Construction Corporation (project implementation unit); leaders of Lao Cai Provincial Military Command; leaders of Bao Yen district and people of Lang Nu village.

The Minister of National Defense and delegates listened to Mr. Nguyen Trong Hai report specifically on the location of the resettlement area in Lang Nu village.

Accordingly, Lao Cai province has coordinated with scientists and the University of Mining and Geology to find locations, assess landslide risks, and safety to select areas to build houses for people in Lang Nu village.

Scientists have assessed the construction site to ensure safety. Lao Cai province has issued an emergency construction order, procedures have been shortened, site clearance work and design documents have been urgently approved. According to the design, the house foundations are leveled according to the terrain to ensure stability and high aesthetics.

Regarding the construction plan for the resettlement area of Lang Nu village, Colonel Nguyen The Luc said that the planned area is about 13 hectares, and so far the foundation has been occupied by 9 households. The construction plan and design are stilt houses, the foundation is poured on site, the floor beams will be precast and transported for installation.

According to the plan, the first 4 houses will be installed on October 15th, and the unit is determined to basically complete the installation of 40 houses on November 30th. Along with that, schools and community centers will be built...

Then, in December, the infrastructure and internal roads will be completed. The unit will work day and night to meet the schedule.

In his concluding remarks, the Minister of National Defense requested the forces participating in the construction of the resettlement area in Lang Nu village to speed up the progress but ensure quality and safety; coordinate with local Party committees and authorities during the construction process, and be determined to put the project into use soon.
