Go Dau: Launching a fundraising campaign to support people in storm and flood affected areas

On October 20, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Go Dau ward organized a launching ceremony of the movement to support people in flood-affected areas, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love" and "helping each other".

Last September, four consecutive storms were active in the East Sea, of which storm No. 9 and especially storm No. 10 (Bualoi) caused heavy damage in many localities in the Northern and Central regions.

Right after the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, all cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, and agencies and units located in the ward participated in contributing a total amount of more than 26 million VND.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Go Dau Ward Nguyen Huynh Ninh Hai emphasized: “The people of the North and Central regions are going through very difficult days, losing both people and property. This is the time to promote the spirit of solidarity, share together and give people more strength to overcome difficulties.”

In the coming time, Go Dau ward will continue to organize campaigns in residential areas, schools, traditional markets and agencies and units located in the area.

This is not only a practical activity to support people in the North and Central regions, but also an opportunity for people in Go Dau ward to demonstrate their community responsibility and spread profound humanistic values ​​in society.

Up to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Go Dau ward has received more than 50 million VND donated by agencies, units and individuals./.
