Career counseling 'Choosing a career for your future'

On October 19, Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine coordinated with Tay Ninh Department of Education and Training to organize a Career Counseling program with the theme "Choosing a career for the future with you" at Nguyen Trai High School (Trang Bang ward, Tay Ninh province).

Attending the program were Dr. Nguyen Quoc Anh - Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology; experts representing universities in Ho Chi Minh City; homeroom teachers and more than 400 grade 12 students of Nguyen Trai High School.

The career counseling program is a meaningful activity that helps students gain more knowledge and skills in approaching, exploring, and choosing a career/career that is suitable for career trends; assessing the level of suitability of themselves with their interests, requirements, family economic conditions with the training process of higher education institutions and the labor market.

At the program, students were informed about career selection skills according to the 2018 General Education program and learning orientation through enrollment trends of universities and colleges; learned about the training system from intermediate to university, the joint training system, international education programs; information about high-quality human resource training fields in 8 key areas of Ho Chi Minh City; forecasting human resources and labor market in the digital age;...

Mr. Le Dinh Duy - Secretary of the Youth Union of Nguyen Trai High School said: "Every year, the school often coordinates with a number of universities and colleges to organize many counseling and career orientation programs. In addition to helping students access information intuitively, the counseling sessions are also an opportunity for them to exchange and ask questions with experts and lecturers, thereby having a more realistic view of future careers"./.
