Google warns that phishing messages are on the rise on an industrial scale globally. Criminal gangs are using AI to spread billions of messages containing malicious links.
Fake messages appear not only via SMS but also on social media and chat applications. Statistics show that 57% of adults have experienced fraud, and 23% have lost money.
To counter this, Google launched an AI feature that checks messages directly on the phone. Users simply need to take a screenshot, open Google Lens, and select the image for the system to analyze. AI will assess the risks, provide guidance on how to handle the situation, and recommend immediate deletion if it is a scam.
This is considered a significant step forward in the fight against malicious messaging on smartphones. Readers are invited to watch the following video : Iris scanning tool to verify human identity | VTV24
