Philosophy professor wins top prize in contest to defend the Party's ideological foundation

On the evening of May 15, the award ceremony of the 4th writing contest on Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation took place at the Hanoi Opera House. The contest was organized by the People's Army Newspaper in coordination with the Vietnam Journalists Association .

Attending the event were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Dr. Pham Tat Thang, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Lieutenant General Thai Dai Ngoc, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. Also attending was Mr. Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

500 works defending the Party's ideological foundation

The 4th writing contest "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation" received more than 500 entries from more than 50 press agencies nationwide.

To summarize the contest, the Organizing Committee of the writing contest "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation" decided to award 30 works with 3 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 9 C prizes and 12 consolation prizes.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, awarded the A prize to the winning authors.

In the central press sector, the A prize in the writing contest "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation" was awarded to Professor Nguyen Trong Chuan, Vice President of the Vietnam Philosophy Association and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Philosophical Research . He won the prize with his work "Respecting integrity, knowing how to maintain face and prestige before the people is the political responsibility of current cadres and party members" in the People's Army Newspaper.

In the magazine sector, the A prize was awarded to Colonel Nguyen Manh Tuan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense Magazine, with the work Personnel work for party congresses at all levels - a particularly important task, deciding the strength of the Party and the future development of the country.

In the local newspaper block, the A prize in the writing contest "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation" was awarded to authors Tran Thu Hang and Sam Hong Phuc with a series of 5 articles "Returning to the light" in Dien Bien Phu Newspaper .
