This year's Lotus Village Festival is held on a national scale, with many exciting and meaningful cultural and sports activities; promising to bring a vibrant and colorful artistic space of the Vietnamese ethnic community.

Thereby expressing the sacred sentiments, deep gratitude, and steadfast belief of compatriots nationwide, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends celebrating the birthday of beloved Uncle Ho.

"This is also an opportunity for Nghe An province to introduce to tourists the image of a Nghe An that is making efforts and is dynamic in economic development, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Nghe An; has been and is determined to fulfill Uncle Ho's wish for his homeland "to make Nghe An quickly become one of the most prosperous provinces in the North"; and continue to make efforts to well carry out the five important tasks that General Secretary To Lam has directed, making Nghe An a growth pole of the whole country", the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

A special highlight of this year’s Sen Village Festival, along with the opening ceremony of the Festival, is the inauguration of the “Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown” Statue, donated by the Ministry of Public Security. The statue was built right next to the ancient banyan tree of Sen Village - the place where Uncle Ho briefly visited his hometown twice after many years away.

Speaking at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, emphasized: The statue "Uncle Ho visits his hometown" has profound political and cultural significance, expressing the gratitude of the Party, State, people and the People's Public Security Force to President Ho Chi Minh.

In particular, for the People's Public Security Force, President Ho Chi Minh always had special affection and thoughtful instructions. He left behind many invaluable legacies, typically: The Six Things Uncle Ho Taught the People's Public Security, which have become a guideline for action, a driving force urging generations of police officers and soldiers to strive to train, strive, and excellently complete the tasks entrusted to them by the Party, State, and people.

"The statue of 'Uncle Ho visiting his hometown' is a solemn highlight in the cultural space of Kim Lien - the sacred land that has nurtured the personality, ideology and stature of a great man. The project not only contributes to enriching the cultural space of Ho Chi Minh in his homeland, but also becomes a 'red address' in the journey of educating the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary spirit and noble ideals for today's and future generations", comrade Tran Quoc To emphasized.

Right after the opening ceremony, there was an art program with three chapters: The call of the country, Uncle Ho's words shine forever and The monument in millions of hearts with songs about Uncle Ho, praising the innovation of the homeland and the country. Then there was a fireworks display.

The 2025 Lotus Village Festival takes place from May 10 to 19 in Vinh city and Nam Dan district, Nghe An province, organized on a national scale with many rich and unique activities to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).
